“We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.” ~ Anais Nin
I'm still in awe of the natural world around us, marvel at man's architectural creations, and am intrigued by human emotions.
...ohh, and i LOVE automobiles, things mechanical and OLD stuff......annndd MUSIC!!!!!
I try not to take this too serious, just having fun.
I'm no professional (obviously), I just LOVE taking pictures and seeing if i can "capture" what it is that i see (or want to see).
- it all started for me when i was a young lad and was given a Kodak 110 Instamatic w/ built in slide-in-place tele-photo lens i actually bought a dedicated flash for it (it used flash bulbs).
- graduated to a used (from a friend) no program Ricoh SLR 35mm w/ 3 fixed focal length ( wide, normal, tele) interchangeable lenses, and external flash.
-bought Ricoh KR30sp 35mm SLR and a Kiron 28-210mm tele-zoom lens, Sunpak external flash (dead) mid- 80's
- bought Canon G5 compact digital in 2004-05 to step into the world of digital photography - currently being used by my daughter.
- as of August 2010 am currently using Canon EOS Rebel XSi 450D DSLR w/ EFS 18-55mm is lens / hoping to add my old Kiron 28-210mm lens anyday now.
- Kiron now added.(received $12.02 lens adaptor, BEST twelve dollars i've EVER spent!)
- as of April 2013 added Canon 75-300mm III bought mostly with credits earned from online activitiies. total cost to me $12.38. not a premium lens, i know, but it does now give me auto capabilities past 55mm.
- as of November 2013 added Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD. Canon above is gone. (recievd $50 credit towards Tamron)
- as of December 2013 Canon 60D and above Tamron are my all purpose shooter combo.
- as of June 2014 added Canon 50mm 1.8 II for wedding job and well, more fun.
I would hope that it goes w/o saying but just in case: do NOT use any of my photos w/o my permission.....copyright laws, ya know.
i don't typically like to carry out conversations under my posts, so please don't feel offended if i don't respond to you personally!
i DO check out the photostreams of those who have visited and left a comment or fav. i try to float through my contact's streams from time to time....
if i make you a contact it's usually because i found a common interest, style or some other thing that catches my eye.....or the complete opposite -- a style very unlike my own that i appreciate. or say from another locale with views of your world that i'll probably never see.
found this link for anybody who would care to check out some of my "popular" shots....mr_johnnya on Flickeflu
