I went pro on flickr in 2007 and started using it as an online digital photo backup store, so it has all the photos I have taken with digital cameras since 2003. I have uploaded pictures from my last 3 mobile phones which have had 2, 3.2 and 5 mega pixel cameras. I've also converted all of my old APS and Film from 1991 onwards and uploaded that. I also have an EPSON V200 photo scanner which I have scanned all my childhood photographs from 1969 onwards with.

I recently bought a 7 mega pixel Panasonic Lumix with 10x optical zoom. Before that I was using a 4 mega pixel Kodak with 3x optical zoom. The thing I found most disappointing with photos from the Kodak was that I could never get close enough and that shots in poor lighting conditions were not good. The intelligent setting on the Panansonic Lumix does a pretty good job most of the time and I'm really glad I went for a better optical zoom rather than a 13 mega pixel camera with the same optical zoom.
