I have been passionate about wildlife and the outdoors from an early age. An avid birder for most of my youth until I finally left home in the early 90's to attend Newcastle University. My birding career paused until, in 2011, a chance encounter with my first Osprey changed my focus..... Sitting in a boat fishing for trout, on a desolate Northumbrian lake, there was a large splash behind me. Turning, expecting to see a trout rising, an Osprey emerged about 20yards away carrying a lovely looking 2pound Rainbow. Totally amazed, I put down my rod and sat and watched as three Ospreys circled and hunted the lake around me. A photographer was born - the next weekend I bought my first camera, and I set about my journey into trying to capture on camera some of the amazing wildlife we have in our country.
