I'm a forty something male working with web design, art direction, audio and video production. And sometimes I get the occasional photo job.

I got my first digital SLR in 2006. I needed a better and faster camera since we were expecting our daughter and the old one I had (camera that is, not daughter) never could capture any children that just wont sit still.

In combination I got a free lance job offer to follow a school during a day and document it, and I couldn't do that without a better camera, so it was a good opportunity to get a new one.

I started with a Canon EOS 350D with a 18-55 and a 55-200 and was very satisfied for a long time. Got a Sigma macro and a wide angle after a while.

In 2010 a took a photo course and started to use some manual settings, shortly after I upgraded to a Nikon D90 with a 35 mm 1:1.8G. Mostly because of the bigger display.

Today I also use

Nikon AF-S Micro 105 mm 1:2.8 G FX,

Nikon AF-S 10-24 mm 1:3,5-4,5 G DX Wide Angle

Nikon AF-S 70-300 mm 1:4,5-5,6 G FX Zoom.

Mostly I prefer to shoot outdoors, hand held with natural light but on occasion I use a SB900, sometimes studio flashes and for family photos I use a small flash (SB400) pointed to the ceiling.
