My passion is portrait photography, working with models and MUA's in my home studio and experimenting with colour and light. Most of my models are got through Model Mayhem and I will always ensure that credits are given. If any model or MUA wishes to contact me they can do so by Flickr Mail or through the email address shown in this profile.
Landscapes and seascapes are very much part of my Photostream as I travel a lot, but I am open to all genre of photography. In 2013 I bought a number of Lee Filters both ND and graduated ND's. The Lee Big Stopper - 10 stop is a favourite but I am still experimenting with long exposures. I have just added the Lee Super Stopper - 15 stop to this arsenal. A couple of years ago I bought a Nikon 105mm f2.8 Micro lens and a set of Kenko extension tubes with the intention of getting some flower close ups in the summer months. That was 2014 and today you will see from my Photostream that Floral images have become the main subject of my photography.
I currently shoot with a Nikon D850 as my main camera and a Nikon Z6ii as a back up. My flashes are SB900, SB600 and SB400 along with three SB200's for macro photography. Studio Lighting is Elinchrom D4's along with all that is needed for a good studio setup.
I have many lenses but I mostly use a Nikon 24-70mm f2.8, Nikon 85mm f1.8D , Nikon 50mm f1.8D, Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR2 and for landscapes I use a Nikon 16-35mm F4. The Nikon 105mm f2.8 Macro is my latest addition for macro floral photography and is also a great for portraits. I still have my Nikon FM2 35mm which is what I started with in my film days.
Since I joined Flickr in 2011, I have made many friends. If you have a chance to look at my Faves you will see many photographers that I follow and admire their work. Landscapes of Scotland, Italy, Malta, Monaco and Norway are amongst my favourite countries visited and you will see many images of these beautiful countries. I have lived beside the sea and I have been sailing for many years since I was a child. Therefore, you will notice a very nautical theme amongst my favourites, from seascapes to boats to lighthouses. I also have some Galleries set up that you might enjoy. I hope you enjoy my images and please comment constructively on any image that you like - it might help me in the future. I now have many contacts so forgive me if I am a bit selective when I am adding any more. However, if I think that there is something that I can learn from your work I will gladly add you as a contact. If you are really impressed by my work please feel free to write a Testimonial describing what it is that has impressed you. You will see a couple that have already been written.
Finally, do not copy any of my images without contacting me by Flickr mail. I hold the copyright to all my images. I have given such permission in the past. I also do not approve of sites that have stolen my images and put them up for public view - these images are my property.
You can also see prints that I have for sale on my Facebook Business page www.facebook.com/PeterWilliamsPhotographyDublin/

Peter is a master photographer. His works are honest, accurate portrayals of what he saw when he pressed the trigger. They are free of the processing enhancements that so many of us routinely utilize to make our scenes more appealing to our audiences, such as texturing, vignetting, or applying the Orton effect. Peter doesn't need them: his works are technically perfect as captured, and presented without adulteration. Maybe he pops or diminishes a highlight to guide a viewers eye a bit, but if he does I can't detect it. His photostream is packed with consistently fine work that allows viewers to feel as if they are, in reality, viewing that scene with Peter as he captured it.
