My name is Corporal Vernon Boyce, I'm a 27 year veteran at the Moore Fire Department and reporter for the Moore Fire Department Local 2047. My goal and job as reporter is to organize and build a tradition of photographs that our department deals with everyday. We have 66 full-time firefighters (no volunteers), there are 3 platoon shifts, 4 stations one at each corner of the city. When a station is dispatched to a call we are there within 3-4 minutes. Our training consists of firefighting, vehicle extrication, ems, hazmat, rope rescue and swift water rescue. we cover an area of 22.5 square miles. Our mutual aid fire departments are Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) in Oklahoma City, OK. and Norman Fire Department (NFD) in Norman, OK.
