I prefer interesting subjects to technical perfection. I admire people who spend tremendous energy and resources on perfect lighting, but to me it's useless if there's not a spark of crazy life behind it somewhere.

When I look at something I've taken, I try to ask myself: is this object changed any, for me having looked at it and photographed it? I like to be able to answer "yes".
