A CENTURY OF GRACE: A MEDITATION ON THE PEOPLE OF GOD IN A HOUSE OF GOD

 

Part meditation and part history-and entirely inspiring-a book focusing on Sacramento's St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church was honored with the Gold Award for Best Book in Religion at the Independent Book Publishers Associations 21st annual Benjamin Franklin Awards ceremony on May 28 at New York's Roosevelt Hotel.

 

The IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards recognizes excellence in independent publishing. A Century of Grace: A Meditation on the People of God in A House of God was written by Father Anthony Garibaldi, O.F.M., pastor of St. Francis of Assisi, and published by Publishers Design Group, an independent publishing firm based in Roseville, CA.

 

My congratulations to Fr. Anthony Garibaldi, O.F.M., Robert Brekke (Publishers Design Group), the Centennial Committee, Chuck Donald, and the entire parish! You can view some of the pages in the book and/or order a copy by clicking here.

 

J.D. worked for more than a year and a half as Editor of this book, and was a member of a team of four photographers who took more than 3,000 photographs in the first few months of 2008.
