I'm a twenty-year-old college junior living in a world where the consensus tries to suppress anything that is different. I'm here to step up and fight it. Photography isn't just about capturing the perfect image; it is about capturing who someone is within a single or series of frames.

My drive comes from the idea that a photograph can capture more of a person than you originally meant for it to. The shot doesn't have to be perfectly composed, framed, cropped; the lighting doesn't have to be right. It can be a simple snapshot, a mistake, and within the blurry frame, capture something about a person you never knew before--a sad look between smiles, a longing gaze, eye contact, none lasting for more than the millisecond it took to capture, yet meaning more than any other shot taken that day.

I finally upgraded to a Sony Alpha 330L DSLR. A large upgrade from my Polaroid P&S or shooting with my cellphone. During my transitory stage I borrowed a Canon Rebel from work just to give it a go, however, I am very happy to have settled in to my Sony.
