About me...

I took my first photo when I was 4 years old. Of course it didn't look like much, but that little machine was fascinating. At 16 I started going to concerts and taking a small camera with me. Small, because it had to be smuggled in, didn't it? ;-)

To cut a long story short: I now have a Kodak Z740 which I can still smuggle into venues and I love that thing! Sometimes I make magic with it, meaning I can't believe the result.

I also have an Olympus E-500, my very first DSLR, which I am very happy with.

At the moment that good old Olympus is getting 'old', it's over 10 years old! I still love it and wouldn't trade it in for the world. I have an additional DSLR now, a Nikon D60. It's definitely faster than the gold old Oly, but I'm still keeping both.

My interests have shifted a bit. I don't go to many car shows or concerts anymore, but I do visit a lot of old buildings/ruins and museums.

In addition I now go to many, many races.

Because I've started studying Egyptology I visit museums and take photos for my study and general interest. I even started a blog about it.

Regarding my photos...

I kindly request you not to use my photos anywhere without my consent. More and more of my photos are taken at locations where limited photography is permitted or where I have to sign an agreement. That means that these photos are for my personal use. I can share them, but the shouldn't be distributed elsewhere.

Also, I have set up my Flick account in such a way that all rights on the photos are mine. Again, no redistributing without my consent.

I don't want to be a pain in the ..., but please realise that in a lot of cases I wouldn't be allowed to redistribute my own photos because of the subject of my photo! I am trying to stick to the rules set by the owners of the subjects in question, I ask you to do the same.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

My best friend for over 20 years now and the best friend anybody could ever have!! I think she's a fantastic photographer, but she's her own worst critic. No harm really, it just makes her photos better and better. She's open, friendly, always willing to lend a helping hand, ear or shoulder (I should know) and she's got a great (if weird sometimes)sense of humour. Keep your eyes on her pages, she bound to amaze you!!!
