Qatari photographer Mohammed Ali Al-Assiri Al-Maadeed born on the 4th of february 1993 and raised in Doha Qatar. A student who admired art since the age of five, where he began developing from academic art classes to fashion designing then to sketching and combined them all together as he stabilized himself on his recent profession "Photography". On may 2005 he have taken his first step into creating animation and accomplished a short film and viewed the film after processing and making adjustments, as necessary, to achieve desired effects and trained the beginners on the basics of animation. After he has bought his fashion designs out on public on april 2006 he designed and made all the costumes for this traditional story. The costumes were loosely based on Qatari Traditional clothing, since the story was originally published on the past 70s, and had to be extremely traditional. Earlier 2007 Mohammed has developed his painting skills and Introduced the students to the methods and materials used in traditional Islamic calligraphy, experienced writing the Arabic alphabet and explored the letter's underlying proportions. Later on the summer of 2007 was the first hint that gave Mohammed the push to get into the photography world where he met a brazilian photographer in Paris and learned ethics of photojournalism, Self confidence and a belief in his own ability and how to improve his photography skills from the fashion runway photographer Antonio Barros. By then he had started collecting random pictures from different photographer, little did he know a camera was dedicated to him on his birthday 4th of feb 2008 and practiced his skills alone by researching the internet and a help of his friends. In only 4 months Mohammed launched his first official photography site and exhibited his photography in a wide variety of framed and mounted images of all shapes and sizes, From landscapes and portraiture to documentary, all genres of photography were represented in the exhibition. More than 10 photographs were sold out to people from all over the Middle East. Mohammed had started opening up about his personal life / photography and started sharing his photography with others online and on november 2008 he had received the Certificate for the (online photo race) , with more than 8000 votes on the photography "the Disappear". On the year 2009 Mohammed felt on the top when he realized that his photography page reached half a million viewers that year and it was a major success for himself and so he was called by magazines and the most known morning show in the middle east on the MBC channel "Sabah Al Khair Ya Arab" and many others. Fashion meant so much to him and it was really hard to stabilize himself as a fashion photographer because of the environment he lived in, but had rejected to say so back then not because of that but because he had felt that he was not ready enough for that title, and the photography kept going on until the beginning of summer 2009 which was a hard step he had felt that he failed that step but Mohammed loved trying new things so he attended the 1 minute film workshop and also Directed 1 one-minute film called (The Show of Life) which spoke about emotions; this work was all an individual effort from scriptwriting to directing to editing at the DTFF (Doha Tribecca Film Festival) and the movie makers were a group of 5 who created there own movies and got the chance to meet Robert De Niro and hear what he thought about them him self in a press conference specialized for the 5 movie makers that i was one of them. In september 2009 Mohammed Made it to the final level with three photographs in 2 categories and an honorable mention in the IPA'09(international Photography awards 2009) for the photograph "Fear" and only days after this success Mohammed appeared on the Local Qatari Channel for 45 minutes talking about Media-Film Making and his experience working in the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. Evaluation was not part of his plans until he was voted to be a judge in a photography Competition at an Independent Secondary School For Girls in Doha by Reviewing and evaluating photographs taken by the Secondary school girls. Mohammed is now continuing in fashion photography and has chose Paris as his destination to finish his studies and develop his photography skills in the capital of art.
