I am a slightly cat-obsessed scientist who likes to make jewelry and other crafts in her spare time. I like to spend time with friends, family and cheering for the Red Sox and Patriots.

In the past 15 years I have moved from Maine to New York to West Virginia to Maryland to Virginia. I picked up some education, friends and two cats along the way. I love to travel, but realized making the map below I do so mainly in the States. I need to work on that!

I've also started making jewelry in the last few years, and selling it on ETSY.com. If you haven't checked it out, it's a great website with only handmade items. Obviously I'd love for you to check out my store (www.moerose.etsy.com), but just surfing that site is fun. The shop was set up to help me to keep up my jewelry-making habit and still pay for my cat Mac's recent vet bills. He was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma a year ago, went through two surgeries and has been on chemo ever since. He's a trooper! As you can see from the pictures, he is going strong. We hope to take him off chemo in the next few months, and my fingers are crossed that it did the job and I'll keep Mac (aka Fatboy) for many years to come!
