I took a photography course in high school, and was completely sucked in. I formed my University degree around it, spending time in journalism and fine art classes, along with gems like the physics of light and the philosophy of aesthetics.

After spending a little time shooting as a photojournalist (and a really cool stint in the Baltimore Museum of Art's prints, drawings and photographs collection), I gave up professional photography; it was too competitive, and photojournalism -- at its peak, where I wanted to be -- was frankly too dangerous, as a good friend of mine found out all too well.

I still try to shoot once in a while. You can also see all of my photos; I usually just post a few representative shots here, as well as some good hotel pics.
