After a lifetime living and working and travelling around the world, - I am much less inclined to travel now. I split my time between the southern Rift Valley in Ethiopia (in Awassa), home on the south coast of England (Fareham), the wonderful canals of central England and especially the BCN, and in the peace and tranquility of south-west Scotland.

Please do not download them without checking to see who took it and any issues or sensitivities with its use. This especially refers to images of the Great Wall, Gansu, Guizhou and tourism/heritage sites and infrastructure.

The maps and plans are best seen at full size and may be split across two or more images to ensure legibility.

Please do not directly link to the tourism or heritage images. Note that for many of the images, there are both GPS coordinates available and further detailed notes. Often all is not what it seems, and the photo may have been taken to show infrastructure in the background or context!
