Hi, I’m Michael! About once or twice a year I get the itch to get back into photography. I entered college as a Photo Journalism major and have logged many hours on photo shoots and in photo labs, prior to the accessible world of digital. At one point I had even wanted to setup a lab at home. I am so glad that I didn’t. I have been very happy with digital SLRs and Photoshop.

   

During college I dropped the idea of writing stories and taking pictures and became a Management Information Systems major graduating with a degree from Texas A&M University , College Station . In my professional life I’m far away from photography as I currently manage a group of IT server engineers.

   

In no way am I a professional photographer but, I really enjoy taking pictures and am always open to suggestions. I am currently using a Canon Rebel XTi and reusing a few of my older EOS lenses that still work in the digital SLR Canon.

   

I have been married for 7 years to my lovely wife, Jessica and am the father of two adorable, keep you one your toes children, Lillian 2 ½ years and Michael Jr. 8 months. They are my favorite subjects to shoot. However, if I’m trying something new that they “refuse” to model for I pull in the good old reserves, Marge, Mildred, and Phyllis, two Beagles and an English Mastiff.

   

A few weeks ago, during a Texas “winter blast” I thought I was being clever by shooting an old bridge near my home that I use to commute on daily. Surprisingly, when I searched Flickr for “ Old Alton Bridge ” there were many photos that appeared. I have been extremely impressed with the local talent.

   

As far as photos go, I hope to contribute and provide images they way I see them
