I'm a nature worshiper. It's good that I live in Southeastern Arizona, where I can spend time out-of-doors every day.

I operate a one-unit bed and breakfast for birders, and my yard contains a bird feeding station open to the public every day. My yard list contains 154 species of birds.

Hummingbirds are a SE AZ specialty in the warmer weather, and I have had 15 species visit the feeders here. My icon picture is of a Plain-capped Starthroat hummingbird which spent two summers here in 2002 and 2003. This bird is common in parts of Mexico, but very rarely enters the U.S., and I considered her stay here a very special treat.

In addition to the birds, there are many mammals, reptiles, and insects that appear in this small corner of the state, and nowhere else in the U.S.
