I got my start with photography when I was around 13 when I started looking at magazines and dreamed of owning an SLR. Dec 25 1974 I got the greatest gift ever when my mom took the $100 I had saved and added to it to get me a Minolta SR-T 101. It has been my passion ever since, waxing and waning as I had money. Digital opened a whole new world, as the cost of film and processing vanished as a limiting factor.

My start was helped by in mentor named Art Bacon. He was a former darkroom assistant to both Ansel Adams and Jerry Uelsmann. From him I got the push to create and the ability to learn about my own vision.
