I am a self-taught artist in both glasswork and metalwork. My educational background is in art history and I am drawn to all things historical. I am inspired by traditional and ancient cultures that created works of great beauty, and complexity, with very little technology. I like raw, natural materials and the "imperfect" - the little something that shows that an item is handmade... a sort of wabi-sabi je-ne-sais-quoi. In general, I like to keep things simple, in my life and in my work.
