Let loose with my first ever DSLR camera Christmas 2008. I have always enjoyed taking snaps but wanted to explore further. I joined my first group in January and committed to a photo a day for the whole of 2009/2010. I live in Devon and love and enjoy the place and want to see new places and improve my skills.
2011 was a quiet year due to personal circumstances, however now trying to get back in to the swing of things. I decided to join camp Nikon in 2010 and now thinking about upgrading again. Now pricing up the D7000. I did add a macro and a wide angle to my lens collection last year but now looking for a nice 17-50'ish 2.8. But think I am going to have to go Sigma or Tamaron rather than Nikon.
I really have to get practising with night shots and long exposures, I have booked a dream trip to Norway in February 2012 to (hopefully) see the Northern Lights. I did see the NL in Feb 2012 which were amazing, in fact so amazing I am going back to Tromso in Feb 2013 and have booked a night tour with Kjetil Skogli, the photographer that took Joanna Lumley in search of the Northern Lights.

Mitch has a natural talent which shines out of her photos... personally, I like her more serious photos
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, oh we do like to be beside the sea! Mitch Rees takes stunning shots, paticularly landscapes and her beach huts pictures are always amazing - I want them for my wall! Her accomplished photography is much welcomed into the HPAD group.

Im always excited to see a new upload from Mitch Rees as her photos are always fun and interesting. Her whole stream is quite amazing and she seems able to photograph all subjects without a problem. She has grown already over the year and is taking photos like any pro, Her style seems quite effortless and her work flows easily. On top of that she is a nice person and does well in the group discussions.
