I am happily married and lived with gender conflict since I was six.

Had I been born in a different era then I would have definitely explored realigning my physical gender with that of my mind. I have always felt that my body was "wrong" and enjoyed exploring different looks, but it was only in my 30's that I truly reconciled that I was indeed what I call in gender conflict. However by this stage I was married and with children and felt I had a greater responsibility to them than I did to myself.

My conflict has been up and down over the years, after a major life changing health issue 10 years ago (fortunately recovered) I started to explore developing my "alter ego" further (this of course was aided by the likes of facebook and Flickr). Its been a bit of a rollercoaster since then, spending a fortune on clothes, shoes, wigs and makeup only to purge them six months later! (Im sure this rings a few bells with many of you!)
