I am a teacher, artist, writer, yoga instructor, organic gardener, and (slacking) musician. I am constantly curious and always seeking new ways to recreate what I see, think, hear, taste, and feel. I have many cameras, but right now I am using a Rollei 6008 for film, a Nikon 7000 for SLR digital, and an iPhone 5 for joy.
This flickr is primarily for my iphoneography. I also blog on tumblr, occasionally tweet as @iPhotoArtist, and have an artist page on facebook.

Kimberly's work challenges easy categorization in that it both consists of familiar objects and subjects, and yet treats those with a care and nuance that speak to the uniqueness of each, of the moment, and of her artists' vision. Her graceful treatments and studies demonstrate an exquisite sensibility for the beauty that can emerge from the careful combination of medium and vision. Her work on plants and seed pods for instance are not just superbly detailed studies, but delicately intimate invitations to go beyond the moment, and what is easily seen at first glance. Kimberly's work however does not just show how ordinary natural things can be made extraordinary by being artfully photographed. Rather, her subjects retain their natural form and appeal, but they also step off the page conceptually, given new imaginative possibilities, precisely because of the subtle and elegant treatment they receive as part of a vision that call us to look beyond them. This work is sophisticated, inventive, and intelligent.
