Kimberly's work challenges easy categorization in that it both consists of familiar objects and subjects, and yet treats those with a care and nuance that speak to the uniqueness of each, of the moment, and of her artists' vision. Her graceful treatments and studies demonstrate an exquisite sensibility for the beauty that can emerge from the careful combination of medium and vision. Her work on plants and seed pods for instance are not just superbly detailed studies, but delicately intimate invitations to go beyond the moment, and what is easily seen at first glance. Kimberly's work however does not just show how ordinary natural things can be made extraordinary by being artfully photographed.
