Gates' photos are absolutely amazing. The more I look at them the luckier I feel. What a pleasure it is to know someone like him, and his talent is the icing on the cake.
Gates has been a great inspiration to me over this past year as I followed his 365 project. There is a free spirit in his work that is a refreshing experience. Gates has this amazing eye. I think he has a 6th sense for composition. And he's the only person I know on Flickr with a block in his profile for "baby, baby."

One of the first times I met misterg8s, we were standing in the stairwell of our college dormitory and he said, "Hey, I want to shoot you sometime." I'm so glad he didn't mean with a gun. Since then, our photographic relationship has shown me a me I didn't know existed and I will always be eternally grateful. (Though I'm convinced it's still mostly his ability making me look good.) I find it hard to put in words just how talented he is. You can see for yourself. Go. Do that now.
