I was born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. I grew up on a ranch where we raised Hereford and polled Hereford cattle for many years. I practically grew up on the back of anything that I could ride. My first love is horses especially the Arabian and half-Arabian.

In high school I was a member of the yearbook staff, and my main duty was working the darkroom. I dabbled a little with taking photos then, but really got more interested later on when I was assigned to teach photography in addition to ninth grade English classes at my high school.

I am a real amateur with the camera and am always in awe of the beautiful photos I see on the flickr site and aspire to be just partially as good as some of the gifted photographers found in this community.

My equipment includes a Nikon d40x and D90. I have a Nikkor 70-300 1:4.5-5.6 VR lens and a Nikkor 18-105 1:3.5-5.6 VR lens.
