Drag to set position!
Hiya, Flickr friends! I'm Kristin aka MissEnota (rhymes with Minnesota)
After starting to machine sew in January of 2012, I've participated here on Flickr with Beginner's Quilt Along, RATZ Swap, Scrappy Mug Rug, Mini QT, Doll Quilt Swaps 13 & 14, Modern Stash Quilting Bee Round 1, Zakka Along 2.0, and the Pillow Talk Swap; I am also a member of the Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild. Thank you all for teaching me how to stitch and inspiring me along the way!
Things that make me different from people I know in "real life" make me somewhat typical in the Flickr/Pinterest/Blogger universe. I love mid-century thrift shop finds, making soft toys & dolls, and love quilts (modern and hundred-plus-year-old stuff) as well as vintage embroidery patterns.
I am devoted to the aesthetics and quality of modern, designer textiles and try to use my best stuff in all my work. I believe my (extensive!) favorites section here on Flickr truly reflects my taste even though it would be difficult for me to articulate it another way.
ISO List: I am currently "in search of": hemostats for stuffing toy and doll parts, the "Caddy Pad" pattern to tote my iron around, Heather Bailey's Clara & Clancy Pig patterns, Jen Kingwell's quilt patterns: Steam Punk and Georgetown, and Amy Butler's Weekender Bag pattern.
I will ALWAYS be thrilled with: cute zippers, bag hardware, white or ivory-based low-volume fabrics, Essex linen, Kona and Art Gallery Pure Elements solids, and anything by Kumiko Fujita, Carolyn Friedlander, Violet Craft, Anna Maria Horner, Melody Miller, Michelle Engel Bencsko, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Lizzy House, Heather Ross or Tula Pink.
Finally, I adore a nice label! Looking forward to sharing ideas with you. Keep stitchin'.
