I have to say that I kind of stumbled into photography. I liked creating realistic art (drawing, painting and some china painting), but never really considered photography as another art that I would want to learn. When my family got our first digital camera I had some fun snapping pictures of our animals, flowers and family. I really got into photography in 2007 when I was given a Canon S3 IS for my birthday. In 2009, after much research, I purchased my first DSLR and lenses.

 

I shoot in natural light. I haven't tried experimenting with flash. Maybe one day I will, but for now I'm content to work with the light that's naturally available. It challenges me and has really taught me a lot in terms of how I use my camera. I am completely self-taught. What you see on my photostream all comes from trial and error. It seems like I learn something new every time I pick up my camera -and I enjoy that! :)

 

In addition to portrait sessions and a wedding here and there, I love photographing the every day things in life, that so many times, we take for granted. I am so blessed to have the wonderful family and life that I do. I love capturing little bits of our life to look back on later, so that we will all be able to say, "Do you remember when...?" Yes, I am sentimental. :)

 

If you've visited my Flickr site you may have noticed that I love animals! :) We have horses, cats, chickens, goats and dogs and I love capturing them in the pictures you see on my photostream. Enjoy! :)
