Started using DSLR early 2008 with landscape, portrait, and macro lens. Inspired by some of the best bird photos on Flickr, began taking bird shots with Nikon 300mm f/4. Soon became addicted to it and upgraded to 500mm f/4 just 3 months later. I am grateful that Taiwan is a great place for birding where you can go for alpine birds in the morning and enjoy shore birds at the dusk, all in the same day. I am still learning how to be a better bird photographer. Hope you enjoy my bird shots in the photostream.

While getting older and hopefully wiser, I have been switching from bird watching to butterfly watching. Butterflies are everywhere. Unlike bird watching that very much depends on luck and patience, you can always take some butterfly photos
in any field walk. And most important, you don't need to carry the big lens and tripod, weighted more than 10kg, while walking along the mountain trails or shore lines :)
