I've been a regular visitor on Minkel's stream for some time now, and have always been impressed with his ability to capture vibrant street scenes and fleeting moments. His photos from around the country and around the world have taken me to places that I will probably never see in person, which is always exciting. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to meet him in real time and observe him in action, and as a result he is now someone I refer to as a friend. He is lively and outgoing, very serious about the business of photography, and a wonderful person with whom to chat, shoot and talk shop for hours. I've just gone back to look at some of his earlier photos to see what I missed initially, and as suspected, there are many stellar pieces of work among them. Why am I not surprised by this :) Keep up the great shooting, Minkel. You rock, dude!

I am amazed at how he paints his images with such warm and soft tones. His street scenes are so inviting and appealing, which inspires me to 'duplicate' or excel at his level. Minkel is such a genuine and nice guy. I am happy and truly lucky to have found a flickr friend like him and will definetly look him up if I am ever in his neck of the woods.
