I love the photo hobby. Pentax K1000 and film was my way of doing it. I could not imagine making photos without film.

My flickr pictures are now taken with my K1000 and my Pentax K-m as well. Both cameras are very cheap, but never the less are capable of producing high quality images. The key element is still the photographer...

My K1000 has serial# 7844937. I've a 50mm 1.4, a 28mm 2.8 and a 135mm 3.5. All the items was purchased on ebay, and all of them were looking like new. The camera came in original box (expensive; $250)! It's a very joyful way of making photos. A manual camera makes you learn photo the hard way, but what a satisfaction when you get good pictures!

Edit (2010): Last autumn I went digital and bought a Pentax K-m. A nice camera, and the digital way is far more convenient compared to film ....but. It does not for sure have the charm and joy compared to my K1000.

After using the K-m for almost a year, I can't say any thing else that I'm very satisfied! A bargain camera which produces good results. But the camera with most charm is still the K1000!
