The North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers was founded in 1851 by Nicholas Wood. The Library contains a huge amount of information on mining and mechanical engineering worldwide. We have books, but also maps, archives, objects and not least a beautiful Grade 2* listed library building.
