My name is Dung Nguyen. I was born and raised in Vietnam and now live in Portland, Oregon. I think I’m still a beginner. My adventure with photography began at the age of 21 and in a short time from a hobby developed into a true passion and a way of living. I rarely shoot in studios with artificial light. All my photos are done with natural light. If you can master that, it’s amazing. All I know is from my mistakes. I don’t learn photography somewhere. I am self-taught photographer, from the very beginning fascinated with people, portraits and fashion photography.

I don’t photograph the subject, I photograph the way they make me feel. I wrestle with every image I shoot. I assume perfection is possible and I want to bring it out of every picture.
