Independent Artist - The Art Of Freestyle, Chinese Painting

A Richmond, BC artist, Ming Yeung has been nominated as a finalist of the 'Artistic Innovation Award' by the City of Richmond, BC, Canada in 2010. Ming’s main goals as an artist is to provide the community with a better understanding of the art of Free Style Chinese painting, and to bring in a different perspective of painting to a community as a vibrant and diversified in culture as Canada. Through workshops, she hopes that viewers will also gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. Over the past few years, she has had interviews with local papers and Fairchild TV, expressing her thoughts on the importance of passing on the tradition of Free Style Chinese painting, and to also expand the community’s cultural knowledge and experience of this foreign, though relatively new style of painting.
