Mike Hainstock has influenced my photography. As my companion on trails and shoots we have discovered surprises around the next bend in the trail for over 4 years. I started with a Fuji Disposable camera—Mike was shooting digital. His encouragement gave me permission to be playful and trust my eye. There is no greater gift that a photographer can give, encouragement. It was his calm reassurance, “You might want to play with that one…” that had me re-look at “Mist Woods.” This became my first sale, a photo that continues to get attention. Thanks Mike!
