I love to take a photograph

I shoot a lot of photos of birds, but to refer to me as even a novice birder would be to greatly exaggerate my knowledge and abilities.

I confess without apology (except to friends and family to whom it is a declared annoyance) to being a bit of a photographic gear-head, so I'm really disappointed and kinda puzzled when a photographer whose work I admire doesn't reveal their EXIF data. Are they afraid someone will steal their settings? I'll always be a beginning photographer hoping to learn from others, and I'm also just plain curious about what gear they use. Maybe at least put the camera/lens info in the tags? Why the secrecy? Okay, I'll stop now. [sigh]

C'mon folks, my photos are copyrighted - they're my property. It is unlawful to use them for any purpose - you may not repost, print or publish them anywhere without my permission! Please, just ask first -- or I'll tell your mom!
