I was introduced to flickr by a Computer Science graduate research course entitled "Creating the Social Web," and on the topic of tagging, flickr came to be mentioned. With my interest in photography over the years, I was immediately drawn to its community and enthralled by the rich content. Since then I have met so many really cool people on flickr (and also have seen some strange/scary people). Overall it has been a really cool experience thus far. I look forward to developing my photography skills with way smarter people out there to help guide me.

My parents are my best friends in the world. My dad is such an awesome communicator and people person, that I've enjoyed helping people in the same ways. Ever since a high school requirement of community service started me working with kids, I've found it a joy to make an impact on the lives of kids, especially in a ministry context. I've been a camp counselor for a Christian youth camp for 6 years, and loved every minute of it. I have a large archive of photos to post! And I still find a way to work there a few weeks a year, even if it's only coordinating the band/musicians.

I love to fly! I became a pilot in March of 2007, which was a dream of mine. Flying is a great freedom to go wherever you can go (legally) and to roam wherever the heart pleases. No cops, no traffic lights, no stop signs. Just go!

I have a deep interest in photography, and albeit I'm an amateur, I still love to recognize really cool scenes and pictures to capture. I don' t have a very fancy camera, but have worked with some pretty cool ones to take some good photos. I've been continually learning here; it's a long learning process, and I'm enjoying it every step of the way.
