My interest in photography stems from a early age when as a young lad in the 60’s I would follow my Father into his darkroom and watch the magic of an image appear on a sheet of photographic paper in the developing tray.

in 1988 I “upgraded” from film to my first digital camera a Fuji ds-h1 with its 400k resolution (less than ½ a Megapixel in today’s terms) and effectively moved the darkroom onto the computer. Technology has raced ahead since and my present Canon 1ds Mk2, 7D, 5D Mk3 cameras produce up to 21 Megapixel images.

I have a passion for taking land and seascape images, attempting to capture the beauty of nature in the optimum light, with many failures and the occasional success, but it took Joe Cornish, one of Britain's finest landscape photographers, eighteen years to become proficient in his craft, so I've got a lifetime to continue to improve and in the words of the master "Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer and often the supreme disappointment” Ansel Adams

I visit many Far Eastern countries through work and on holidays and for the past few years I have taken a " decent" camera and lens to better capture the many facet's of different cultures, but of all the places I have visited, India keeps drawing me back.
