In 1955/6 I visited a sideshow at Tooting Bec Common fair, where children always got a prize. As I didn't win anything, I was given a 1954 edition of the ABC of London Transport Buses & Coaches. This fired my interest in London buses, but this soon spread to any UK companies. When i started travelling abroad my interest expanded. It also encompasses any land transport. My first camera was a kodak Brownie Cresta 2, and then in 1965 I started using colour slide film. I graduated to SLRs, but when my last one bit the dust I bought a lightweight digital travel zoom, which I find very convenient. Now with limited vision, I find it easier to make adjustments on my PC using magnifying software. Although I take a lot landscape photos, it is the buses and coaches which get the faves. i have thousands of transport slides, and am gradually scanning some of them to add to my photostream.
