I shot Kodachrome and Ektachrome for years. The best stuff got printed on Cibachrome. I sold a lot of stuff but it was always pretty much a hobby.
I got involved with teaching junior sailing on Maui and thought it might be nice for the parents to see what their kids were learning. I used a waterproof film camera at first but wasn't happy with the digital conversion so I could post on Flickr. I picked up a SeaLand dive camera that worked pretty well but was slow. I eventually moved to a Nikon S3000 that shoots high res pics and allows for multiple shots with one press of the shutter button in sport mode.
I'd been using a Minota system for years. I wanted to go digital but couldn't get a clear idea of what to buy from the reviews. A neighbor loaned me his Nikon D-90 for two weeks. I was sold. There's probably better cameras in the Nikon family but the '90 does everything I need.
