And my Sept 08 front page too

something about me
I've had an enthusiasm for photography and cameras since a boy - some of which is driven by technical interest and some by artistic. I love the immediacy of digital, and am also a lifelong computers adict, so the combination of technology and the medium makes this a very special hobby for me.
I like to experiment with new styles and new techniques - and I'm always trying out new things to keep the challenge.
In Jan '08, I finally invested in a new Olympus E-510 twin lens kit, so joined the realms of DSLR enthusiasts. Since then, my flickr view count has soared and I even made the front page of Explore in Feb.
Jun '08 invested in a flash unit for the E-510 - wonderful indoors shots now means I can do portaits & parties too (mainly for personal use).
I also do a little photo restoring, but it's very time-consuming and I prefer to shoot a lot of new material. I don't publish many of those shots, but you'll find one or two in the stream.

Visiting Mike's photostream is always a pleasure. There will always be something fresh and dynamic to admire in his many and varied images. His skills with the camera and post production work are phenomenal. Every image is a beauty. I seem to learn something new each time I view his impressive photostream. Many images are just sensational and always top quality. His work inspires me to try something new and be more experimental with my own photography. I like the way he freely gives advice too - always welcome as I have so much to learn. Thanks for your support and encouragement, and especially for sharing your wonderful images. Jo x
