I served in the Army for 11 years, from 1981 to 1992. Out of all my duty stations, Fort Ord CA. was the best duty I ever had. When I got to Ft. Ord, it was the only Army Division that had a non-combat ready status, when I left Ft. Ord in 1986, it was the only rapid deployment Division capable of deploying and being ready as a complete operating Division in such fast time.

I enjoy genealogy and spend a lot of time on it.
