I've always made my son's birthday cakes. It was Easter of 2007 that I took a cookie decorating class with son #3, and got hooked on cookies. Watching the FOOD network cake challenges, and ACE of Cakes, and now The Cake Boss, I got a little creative. For Valentine's Day 2008 my husband bought me a food grade air-brush, and a class. It opened up a way to add color and depth.
What was a mild hobby is now an obsession, creative one. I have more then 200 cookie cutters, more then 60 cake pans, 126 decorating tips, 6 rose nails, 30 Kathy Scott Silicon Molds, (I'm still counting my candy and lollipop molds) and 30+ air brush stencils. A HUGE Thanks you to Jeff and his family for increasing my inventory of tips, pans, and molds. They gave me all of their mother's Wilton cake, candy supplies. It's is great shape and some item's I have never seen before. I don't think they still make all of the things I have acquired. I owe you cakes for many celebrations to show my thanks!
"Who doesn't LOVE cake?" My icon is actually a deep dish pizza CAKE I made.
March of 2009 was crazy busy with cakes, cookies and a St. Patrick's Day menu. April 2009 looks just as crazy right now also. I made a seperate 'set' page for each month. You can check it out...Oh yeah, did I mention I work full time too? ha ha.
I'm going to cake camp again in Sept of 2009. I'm taking 10 classes; some demo only, but most are hands on. I'll post pictures once I came back. I posted cake camp photo's from 2008.

This is a wonderful set of photos. The inspiration in the cakes is fantastic. A lady after my heart, I just love cakes of all sorts. Shame she lives so far from me, I would place a weekly order!! Keep up the good work.
