Mid-Herts RAYNET is a group of licensed radio amateurs ("radio hams") who provide voluntary communications for a wide range of public events such as marathons and charity walks. These events allow our volunteers to perform a useful public service, while practicing the communications skills that might be needed in an emergency scenario. Services are provided freely but donations to cover operational expenses are rarely refused.
