I used to have a teacher in college who brought an 8mm movie camera wherever he went. He urged us to do the same thing with our Handycams/Kodaks/Brownies/whatever.

“Capture everything.” He won a sh!tload of awards for his films – collated out of random “captured” moments – so I think he had something there.

So: because I can’t bring a Steadicam into the MRT, I’ve settled on showing random shots of my life as captured by my handy-dandy camera phone (or, when available, the handy-dandy PowerShot A510 – harder to handle in a pinch, but gets me better images).
