On a more personal note, I have been taking pictures since I received my first camera for Christmas when I was twelve years old. My parent's weren't big on pictures and I remember one of my favorite things to do was to rifle through what few pictures my parents did have. I guess you could say my obsession with photography started because I wanted to be able to show my future offspring what my life was like before they were here. I guess I felt as if I didn't know my parent's childhoods as well as I had hoped and I vowed to do the opposite. Well, over a dozen years later I have thousands and thousands of photos and I am taking hundreds more with each passing year.

In 2007 I went a little overboard and filled one album with 500 shots of my daughter's first year. Then I got my Nikon D40 and I am in love with it. I would like to take classes and maybe even sell some of my work someday. *sigh* I can dream, can't I?
