Hi everyone. I'm Michelle and I live in New York (in case you didn't get that from my flickr name) ;-) I got my first dSLR in early November of 2007 and I haven't put it down since. Some might say I'm obsessed. I say.. what's wrong with that? :-)
I currently shoot with a Canon EOS 5D and 7D. My macros are taken with the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and most of my wildlife and bird photos are taken with a Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L lens. I also have a Canon 10-22mm EF-S, a Canon 28-135mm, Canon 50mm f/1.8 II, Canon 17-40mm f/4 lens, and my newest toy, a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS lens

Update as of May 3, 2009:
I've been trying to find balance between flickr and life and have come to the conclusion that it's a very difficult thing to do. In the past, I'd been holding off on posting photos until I could return comments on photos that I've posted but that isn't realistic for me anymore. I joined flickr for a place to post my photos, not knowing about the social aspect of the group and recently found myself spending more time making comments rather than working on my photos and that isn't the reason I joined flickr, so I will be changing my way of flickring and not commenting as much when time doesn't allow it. This isn't to say I wont be looking (I always look at everyone's photos), or commenting (I will, as time allows) What it does mean, however, is that I will be putting the priority on taking photos and posting them, which is why I got (and pay for) flickr in the first place. Sure, it would be easy for me to copy and paste "great shot" as I've seen others do, but I won't do that because it doesn't mean very much, IMO. I'd rather receive ONE sincere comment, rather than a whole bunch of canned response any day :-)
If anyone doesn't understand where I'm coming from, I wont be offended if you choose not to comment or remove me as a contact, but it's something I need to do to find balance in my life. And I will still be looking as always because I very much enjoy seeing everyone's photos. But I can't always comment every day. There are only so many hours in the day and until we get the 36 hour day I've been requesting, this is the way it must be for me.
