I love photography. And have for a number of years but have always been ok with just calling it a hobby and letting it sit on the back burner. I get easily scared off with the technical aspects and set ups, preferring natural lighting and random captures vs elaborate set ups and lots of direction.

I've come to realize lately that most of the time great photos don't just happen and I believe learning how to create the light your looking for is a valuable tool. My husband discovered Strobist fairly recently and dove in head first, I've been learning through him though refused to read much myself because I run into a wall with all the technical stuff(as I stated earlier), but have decided to jump in as well and leave my pre-conceived notions as to the type of photographer I am and hopefully move my skill and work forward. Yay me!
