I believe photographers enjoy life more than anyone else. They see the simple beauty of our world and how to portray it to others. Who else but artists can see the meaning, beauty and joy of a single frostbitten branch?
I am an amatuer photographer in Elko, NV. I have loved photography since I accidentally took the class in high school. As I drive around (which I do a lot, weather permitting) I am constantly on the lookout for "something." If that something turns out to be a mountain covered with snow that is shining brightly, then so be it...I hope to capture Mother Nature's daily gifts to all of us.
I am also starting on the new adventure of portrait photography. I'd like to someday make money doing something I love, and I think portrait is the way to go to accomplish that. I love feedback, especially on my portraits, as I'm pretty new to that genre.
I love Flickr, I love looking at others photos, especially Nevada scenes. It is such an inspiration to see that others love the nature and the beauty of such an unknown state as much as I do.
I use a Canon. I have two. One is an old Canon Rebel EOS 35mm and the other, my new baby is a Canon Rebel T2i.
