I am a keen amateur photographer based in the Blue Mountains outside Sydney, Australia, and I have been active in photography since my late teens / early 20’s. I could be classed as a bit of an Olympus tragic, having worked with (and still own) a number of OM cameras (including the legendary OM4), and was an active B+W shooter and darkroom worker. Since moving to digital in early 2007 I have worked at developing my digital craft, again mainly using Olympus gear.
My interests are mainly in the areas of landscapes, architecture, travel and street photography, and I have a particular love for B+W and fine art photography. My medium to long term aim is to remain active in both digital and analogue formats.
While gear and technique is important the key to great photography is a strong image that connects with the emotions and tells a story or captures a mood or a strong sense of place.
“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense and is thereby a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.” ― Ansel Adams
