Drag to set position!
I've always liked photography, but my real love affair started in early 2007, when I got my first DSLR camera. Since then my approach to photography evolved towards my today's maxim of "quality or quantity" (which is sometimes still a moving target :-)).
I love animals and people photography in all variations. Some people have such a great natural charisma and it's awesome to try to capture this on a photo. And animals are just awesome, just like that ;-). I've an affection for available light photography and can't stand it when photographers with equipment much more expensive than mine ruin their photos by flashing away. I've nothing against educated use of flashes though :-).
As a computer scientist, I've a passion for technology. I'm in love with sharp lenses and adore my 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2 and 200mm f/2.8 primes. I'm currently using a Canon EOS 500D body, which I like for its compactness.
National Geographic Russia published one of my photos in their magazine in April 2010. Read more about this here.
Please leave a comment if you like one of my photos, or if you have a question about them!
I'd be happy if you add me as a contact if you enjoy my photography!
Almost all of my photos are available in RAW format with at least 10MP (recent ones with 15MP). Just contact me if you like one and we can sort something out.
