Michael E. Gordon is an award-winning photographic artist best known for his black-and-white impressions of California’s deserts which, said Broughton Quarterly, portray “stunning ethereal beauty from terrain where others see only a bleak landscape.” Michael is a lifelong student of nature and wilderness, a longtime wilderness-preservation advocate, and a staff instructor at the Los Angeles Center of Photography. His work has been widely exhibited and is held internationally in private collections, including the United States Embassy, and his photographs and articles have been widely published, including LensWork, Elements, Outdoor Photographer, B+W Photography (UK), On Landscape (UK); and more.
