When I was younger, I hated my name because because substitute teachers hastily taking attendance would call me "Mike," and everyone had the hardest time pronouncing it. Now I think it's beautiful and am grateful to my parents.

I collect collections and I think words are beautiful. I keep my head in the clouds and my thoughts to myself. Usually. I have a lucky owl that I carry with me, even though he's probably not really lucky. I have a thing for carousels and lately I've been enamored with knots and constellations. My best friend is four years old and in love with a boy named Sam Robinson. I like to make things and mend things and move things incrementally, frame by frame.

I attend the Cleveland Institute of Art. I'm a very very very hard worker. And one day I'd like to own a pet sheep.
